Journal in Gold

This early work was made during a period of sustained emotional endurance.

Each mark functions like a quiet affirmation — a daily record of survival.

Gold holds the weight of pain fully claimed,
not softened, not avoided, held at its full price.

White appears sparingly, carrying moments of hope — sometimes faint, sometimes almost absent —yet persistent.

Built layer by layer, day by day,
the surface gathers what was endured and slowly releases it back as light.

What begins as hardship settles into proximity,
until life no longer presses from afar but rests close, surrounding.

This work is a whisper to those living through their hardest days:
hold on for one more day,
one more hour.

That was how it was made.
